Ashley Kjos, PsyD, L.P. is a Minnesota licensed psychologist (#LP5534) and the Chief Executive Officer of Woodland Centers, a community mental health center which has its main office in Willmar, MN. Dr. Kjos earned her Master’s (2009) and PsyD (2011) in Clinical Psychology at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. After being a staff psychologist at Woodland Centers from 2011 to 2014 then the Clinical Director from 2014 to 2016, she became its CEO in 2016.


As CEO, Dr. Kjos is responsible for the overall coordination of the internal operations of the private, not for profit CMHC with a seven county catchment area in west central Minnesota. The CMHC has a $13M budget; 180 employees including 45 behavioral healthcare professionals; and a robust continuum of outpatient, rehabilitative, and residential behavioral healthcare programs serving youth and adults. The CEO also provides professional assistance to the Board of Directors; manages activities and relationships with external entities in order to enhance the organization’s mission and viability; and is responsible for the budgeting and fiscal management of the organization. As Clinical Director and a staff psychologist her clinical duties included diagnostic assessments; psychological testing; individual and group psychotherapy; Dialectical Behavior Therapy; crisis assessments; crisis intervention and stabilization; clinical supervision; and public presentations. Dr. Kjos continues to provide some direct clinical services and clinical supervision in her role as CEO.
